Trauma Therapy Minneapolis MN — A Different Approach to Healing

Meet Melissa, LPCC

Licensed Counselor | Trauma & Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Therapist. Specializing in Complex Trauma, Addiction, and Attachment Trauma

If you’ve been holding it together for a long time, you’re not alone.

Many of the women who come to Melissa’s practice appear stable, or even highly successful, from the outside. But internally, it often feels very different.

Their minds don’t shut off.
Their bodies stay tense.
And despite years of insight or self-reflection, the same patterns keep repeating.

Clients often describe feeling like they are:

• Overthinking everything
• Carrying more than their share in relationships
• Using coping strategies that “work,” but leave them drained
• Feeling responsible for holding everything together

Eventually, the pressure becomes difficult to sustain.

This is where Melissa’s work begins.

Helping High-Functioning Women Create Real Change

With over 14 years of clinical experience throughout the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro, Melissa specializes in helping high-functioning women move beyond insight and into meaningful, lasting change.

Her approach is not about endlessly analyzing problems or offering more strategies to manage stress.

Instead, her work focuses on helping the brain and nervous system process the experiences and patterns that have been keeping clients stuck.

Why Many Clients Choose Deep Healing Sessions

While weekly therapy can be helpful, many clients find there simply isn’t enough time within a traditional 50-minute session to fully work through deeper patterns.

Just as something important begins to surface… the session ends.

This is why many clients choose Melissa’s Deep Healing Sessions (trauma recovery intensives).

These extended sessions provide focused, uninterrupted time to explore and process what has been difficult to shift in traditional therapy.

Clients often choose this format because they want:

• Real movement rather than slow circling
• Dedicated time to work through deeper patterns
• A more focused and transformative therapy experience

In this format, many clients begin to experience shifts that they had previously felt out of reach.

What Begins to Change

As the work deepens, clients often notice meaningful changes in both their mind and body.

They may begin to experience:

• A quieter, less overactive mind
• A nervous system that feels calmer and more regulated
• Emotional reactions that feel less overwhelming
• Greater clarity in decision-making
• Stronger and more natural boundaries

These changes occur not because clients are pushing harder, but because their systems are no longer stuck in the same survival patterns.

How Melissa Approaches This Work

Melissa integrates several evidence-based approaches that focus on processing and healing rather than simply talking about problems.

These include:

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Somatic (body-based) therapy
Nervous system regulation

This combination allows therapy to work at the level where patterns actually live, in the nervous system and emotional memory, not just in intellectual understanding.

Why This Work Is Personal

Melissa understands the experience of being the person others rely on while quietly carrying stress, pressure, or emotional weight that few people see.

Many of the women she works with are:

• Capable
• Driven
• Responsible
• And completely exhausted from always being “on.”

Her work helps create space for these women to finally step out of survival patterns and reconnect with calm, clarity, and self-trust.

The Goal Isn’t Just Feeling Better

The goal of this work goes deeper than symptom relief.

It’s about helping clients experience:

• Calm in their own body
• Trust in their decisions
• Healthier, more balanced relationships
• The freedom to stop holding everything together alone

If you’re ready for a different kind of therapy experience, Deep Healing Sessions may be the next step.

How Trauma Therapy at Reflective Pathways Is Different — ART, IFS, and Somatic Approaches

Therapy with me is structured, intentional, and trauma-informed without feeling clinical or cold.

Here’s what makes my approach different:

We don’t stay stuck in storytelling. While your story matters, we focus on resolving what’s still emotionally activated rather than rehashing pain indefinitely.
We work with the nervous system. Trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. You’ll learn how to regulate, not just understand.
We move efficiently. Through ART Intensives, meaningful shifts can happen in days rather than years of weekly sessions.
We address the root. Whether it shows up as anxiety, addiction, perfectionism, or relational patterns, we go deeper than surface coping strategies.

Many clients choose Deep Healing Sessions over weekly therapy. If you’re motivated, ready for change, and want to move faster, this approach is often a better fit.

This is therapy for people who are ready to do real work and want tangible change.

Melissa Cribb LPCC LADC trauma therapist Osseo MN specializing in ART therapy and addiction treatment Minneapolis Minnesota

Melissa Cribb, LPCC, LADC, is a licensed trauma therapist, addiction counselor, and clinical supervisor based in Osseo, Minnesota. She is the founder and owner of Reflective Pathways Counseling Services, where she specializes in trauma, high-functioning anxiety, and substance use the trifecta that brings most of her clients through the door.

After earning her Master of Science in Counseling from St. Cloud State University, Melissa spent 14 years refining an approach that is, in her words, "built for people who have already tried just talking about it." She uses evidence-based, body-informed methods — Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), the FLASH Technique, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) — that work with the nervous system rather than around it.

Melissa holds dual licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), which means she can treat trauma and addiction under the same roof, without a referral shuffle. She is also a Minnesota Board-approved supervisor, providing LPCC supervision for emerging counselors in the field.

Her Deep Healing Session format is intensive therapy over one or more full days designed for clients who cannot wait weeks between breakthroughs, or who have tried traditional weekly therapy and hit a ceiling.

Melissa sees clients in person in Osseo, MN, and via telehealth throughout Minnesota. When she's not in session, she's probably helping someone else's nervous system regulate.
